The With Great Power quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a pivotal story mission that unlocks the mysterious Mystical Cave within Dazzle Beach. Players must assist Merlin to rescue Ursula and restore power to the Orb of Power. Completing this journey requires solving a series of environment puzzles and collecting specific items scattered throughout the valley.
Unlocking Dazzle Beach and Meeting Ursula
To begin this questline, players need to clear the Giant Night Thorns blocking access to Dazzle Beach using Dreamlight. Once inside the biome, speak with Merlin, who directs you toward a mysterious cave hidden near the coast. Inside the dark cavern, you will encounter Ursula, who asks for your help in breaking the curse binding her.
Ursula hands over a Crystal Key required to unlock the deeper layers of the Mystical Cave. Take this key to the stone pillar near the beach entrance to activate the cave gate. Once unlocked, you can venture inside to tackle three distinct gate puzzles.
Solving the Mystical Cave Magic Puzzles
The first magic gate asks you to place three specific gems into statues to match their colors. You must insert a Peridot, Garnet, and Aquamarine into the corresponding statues to proceed further down. Mining rocks around Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow will quickly yield these required gems.
The second puzzle requires planting and growing three specific crops next to the gate. You must plant Carrot, Wheat, and Tomato seeds in front of the statues and wait for them to grow. Watering them properly ensures the doorway opens, granting access to the lowest level.
Cooking the Magic Meal and Retrieving the Orb
At the bottom of the cavern, the final barrier requires cooking a meal using the harvested crops. Harvest the Carrot, Wheat, and Tomato you grew, then combine them at the nearby cooking station to prepare Veggie Pasta. Eating or placing this dish unlocks the final chamber containing the body of water.
Fish in the glowing water spot inside the chamber to catch the Orb of Power. Take the recovered orb outside and place it into the Pillar of Power located near Dazzle Beach. This action purifies the surrounding waters, restoring magic to the coastline and completing the quest.
Essential Tips for Smooth Progression
Before entering the cave, gather extra gardening supplies and energy-restoring food items to avoid unnecessary back-and-forth trips. Having Tomato seeds ready in your inventory will significantly speed up the second puzzle step. Bringing a companion with the Mining role will also help you find the needed gems much faster.
If a crop takes longer to grow, double-check that it has been watered properly with your watering can. Patience and careful resource management make this storyline mission straightforward and rewarding. Successfully finishing the quest opens up new story paths and character interactions across the entire valley.
